Jesus Christ had an image. The Bible says that as he grew, he grew in favor with God and man. The favor he grew in with man, was his image. Some thought him a teacher, others a prophet, others still called him a healer. Even his own disciples didn't know what to make of him at times.
Because of his image, he was crucified, however, his image lives on even today in the hearts and minds of millions of Christians and non-christians alike who are trying to live a life that is like Christ's. There is only one way to "be like him" and that is "through him". Christ's death was a sin sacrifice, he was and is the only human to ever die blameless. Therefore he has the right to go to heaven, however he took our sins upon himself, and descended into hell. On the third day he rose again, giving new life to all who believed. Praise God.
