This device is a spin off from a bike bag that is suspended over the rear tire, only this is much sturdier. Made generally of either sheet metal or 1/2" plywood this is sturdy enough to carry another passanger. While the weight of this object significantly slows down the novice biker, for someone who either uses their bike on a regular basis or depends on thier bike as their sole form of transportation, this is an excellent investment. Able to carry comfortable even at time over 100lbs this thing has at least as much bite as bark.
